Smoked emblems

Hey I heard and saw some pictures of some emblems in different color, someone told me they spray painte em to smoke em. does anyone knows how to do it plz... what kind of paint should i use and if i remove the back nissan emblem will there be holes or is jst glue to it..

Its just sticky tape holding it on, heat it a little sitting in the sun (or a hairdryer) and go at it with some dental floss and it will come off...

Sanded, primed, and painted like any other part.

I did that with my rear burger. I took the emblem off, sanded it down a lil. Taped off the "nissan" with tape and an x-acto knife, sprayed it a couple of times with duplicolor black chrome, removed the tape from the "nissan" part, and added a coat of duplicolor clear. Looks ok, its different. Looks almost like a gunmetal color, not so much "black chrome".

well, i had the bumper replaced because of an accident...and the bodyshop ended up painting the difuser. I sorta liked it, so i kept it white.

I like the look of both, the emblem matches the blacked tails really well, and the defuser is different, but looks good on the white car.
