Hey everyone,

I was cruising around tonight in Lousville KY on I-65 and ended up along side an s14 with 17"+ rims and a big "NPM" graphic in the back window. Thought I would have a little fun and run him in 4th gear at about 65mph. This guy was quick - he jumped ahead of my 1991 mazda mx6 (2.2L turbo; bone stock) like I was standing still. Anyone know this car? It was damned quick - was white with florida plates. I could hear the turbo loud and clear.

you might want to ask around on the NPM forums.

NPM = Nissan Performance Magazine.

You should be able to find a link to the forum there...

You have to watch out, 240's run a lot of different motor swaps. Have any pics of your car?

..well...I guess I'll post one. :) Over at mx6.com we wish we had as many options and aftermarket support as you guys do. RWD would be nice too.

Scotty, I've never looked at your cardomain until now, and It's PURE MADNESS! My god! That is one of the best looking, well done 240sx I've ever seen. Mad props to you man, that Is a sweet machine. Can I ask where you got your mcs14 side skirts from? Also, what kind of 1/4 times are you throwing down?

Thanks for the comments, guys. Yeah, these cars have been pretty much forgotten. It's tough to find one that's in good shape because a lot of them have been beat to hell by teenage kids.....they can be found cheap these days. I got mine for about $2500 because of the condition and lower mileage (100k), but they can be had for much less than that if you're up for a project. Mazda's 2.2L Turbo engine (f2t) is also found in the 89-92 Ford Probe GT, which shares the same Mazda drivetrain and suspension.

scotty: That is a beautiful machine. I think that might have been you, but I didn't see the NPM sticker in your pics. Either way, that thing hauls ***! If it was you, it's no wonder you smoked me with that big turbo. :) Makes mine look tiny.

magik, does the trannie, trans axle, axles, turbo, tie-rods and EVERYTHING bolt right into the PGT 1991? cause my probe is in some serious need for parts and i can get a mx6 turbo for dumb cheap. btw your car is pretty sweet if the one i can get is nicer than my probe i might switch to that. hell i might even drift it for one of my runs in an event next season, not like i havent drifted it before. those cars are pretty quick. I MISS TURBO!!!!(not the probe)

I've always liked the turboed probe gt's. There's a few of them that go to our local track and run 15.0's all day.

You know the turbo on that engine screams for an upgrade though. It has to be the smallest turbo type ive ever seen... i dont even think its a t25 eqivalent. Anyway they are very fast when you get them up there, they can do 150 like that (snap). My old friend joe has one and hes done some work to it that you would love to see, magik8.
