smoke hissing and headlights out plz help...

I was driving and a burning plastic smell started in the car when i parkes my headlights were out. the fuses arent blown, i checked. when i bough the truck the previous owner wired some flip switches for the headlights and the offroading lights neither of them work now. blinkers hazards and brake lights work. anyone have any idea as to what i should fix??

start traceing wires and find the melted ones...thats what i think...sounds like they are not on a fuse...

if the wire is melted what kind of replacement parts will i need to fix this?

you might need the wireing harness for all that stuff...the best thing to do is start taking the thing apart and find out how bad the damage is...if you can take pics as you go and post them...it will us help you.

I have heard of the headlight switch going out in these thing. Did you see any smoke?
