Ok I just got an sr in my car like three weeks ago. After driving for less than an hour, white smoke is coming out of the hood (Most likely coolant as it was coming from the coolant reserve tank) and I look underneath to find oil leaking from the oil pan. So I source the oil leak to be a missing oil drain hole plug in the oil pan and replace it, and replace the oil as well. Everything's well and I drive it again; not hard though. I am giving boost but not hardcore or anything. And when I park my car and let it sit for one minute before turning it off, it starts smoking again from the coolant reserve. Now is that normal or is my intuition correct in telling me that something is wrong? Thanks. P.S. Yes this is my first turbocharged car so I'm trying to get the hang of things, but not the first turbo car driven: my gf has a 93 fd.

check your coolant lines going into the turbo, me and my friend had the same problem with his 91 gsx eclipse, you might need to replace the lines.

I don't want to give this guy a bad name or anything cuz he's a real nice guy, but his business is located in Canada. So not many people on here are from Canada anyways. But yeah I'll check the coolant lines and see if everything is fine. Thanks guys.

How did you have oil in the motor if the drain plug was off? or did it just fall out or something? honestly....

I'm thinking the same, how in god's name did you even drive off with what would have been a lake of oil under your car.

You would have heard that hitting the pavement like someone pouring a soft drink out of a can on the ground.

How was there even oil left in it after?
