smoke coming from exhaust manifold, help?!

i just did the third treatment of seafoam through the breakbooster hose and when i did this white smoke started coming from the exhaust manifold, specifically from the 4th spark plug area, it wasn't coming directly out of the spark wire or plug itself but it was coming from around that area, don't know what it could be but i know i have exhaust leaks, do you think it could be my manifold has a leak?

yea but i only have a certain amount of money and i can't decide what will help me pass emissions, does anyone know what it could be?

i think gumby confirmed your guess that it is an exhaust manifold leak...

he's being coy since you'll haveta remove & reinstall the manifold to replace the leaking gasket... might as well put in a header? no?

side note: i too have a minor leak w/ 1 visible exh head bolt stripped off... not gonna play w/ it until my engine needs to be pulled...

how are the headers for emission purposes?

they're not... u r better off using the regular exhaust manifold...

the Catalytic Converter is more for emission purposes; saw u on buy/sell/trade forums... any luck getting a whole system yet?

Hopefully, the used cat is not totally crapped out on u when u receive one from another member. I was lucky that a guy sent me his whole cat back system, w/ a fairly new cat along w/ it since he was goin turbo & using a "test pipe" instead...

yea i've been trying to find an exhaust, but peeps just don't want to ship out...what if i get a high flow cat, would that be better/worse than getting someone elses used cat for emission purposes?
