We bought a 2003 Maxima SE (30,000 mi) recently and I have noticed after a drive around town, maybe a half hour or so, the next time we start the car, after our drive, it sends a ploom of smoke out of the tailpipe. Looks to be white in color but has no smell. I verified the no smell part by starting it in the garage the last time. Anybody have any ideas?

Water vapor.. Black smoke=incomplete combustionBlue smoke=burning oil White smoke (super white, looks like cumulus clouds coming out of the pipe) = crack in the engine block, and coolant being evaporated.

White smoke that puffs out occasionally, or inconsistentantly, I would think would be normal.

Valve stem seals. Replaced by the dealer at no charge since we bought it in that condition.
