Alright I bought this car sunday and everything seemed to be in order except a smoking problem when accelerating. Well now she only wants to idle at around 400 and at that much its shuddering like a monster and the power feels nothing like it should be, I could floor it and she would act like your about 1/2 - 3/4 on the throttle. I was recommended to change my fuel filter, check the coils, and check the timing. Now if my timing is a bit off all I have to do is turn the CAS into the right position right?

also check the spark plugs (i.e. make sure they're not fubar) and look for intake piping leaks (boost/vacuum leaks)

also if you have a multimeter or ohmmeter check the resistance of your coilpacks, see the FSM on how to do it.. if you don't have it, download it, I think one of thestickies at the top has a link.
