Smog test results after KA swap!!

ok i swapped another Ka24de (95') in my 91' 240 last month and here are my emisson results :

Hc- limit 1.00result: 1.07 fail

Co-limit 12.00result : 7.67 pass

Nox-limit 2.50result: 5.34 fail

before the test i filled up with 92 octane (highest in phx AZ) to alil over 1/4 tank then drove hard to the testing facility

before that, i had 87 octane because the other day i was almost out of gas with only $7 on me. but u usually run 89 octanenote: also i think my timing was off cuz it felt alil boggy after i moved the dizzy the other day. and i changed the o2 sencer and fuel filter about a month ago.

rite after the test i went home and looked @ my egr valve and the main hose @ the bottom was "Fried Chicken"!!!! (burnt in half)..lolthis sucks because i have 2days left on my registration permit...ugh!!!

The hose at the bottom of the bpt to the top of the egr is a common one to have a hole in. From the look of it though, that's probably not enough to reduce the nox count by half though. There are probably other issues. when was the last time you did a tune up? Also with the HC, have you also changed the cts?
