I am a newbie so bare with me, I have a 1995 S14 with 160k+ miles, headers, exhaust, and a 15in. magnaflow catalytic converter, its not even close to passing. My ECU code reads that my "idle air sensor" is malfunctioning. Are those a common thing to go out? Are they expensive? And/or does anyone know anybody in San Diego that would "make it" pass smog? much appreciated.

i "know" some guys but it would cost much more than just having your iacv replaced and/or cleaned search iacv and see what you come up with

Would you wat to use when you clean it, engine degreaser, brake cleaner, or MASF cleaner?

use evaprotive brake or carb cleaner to clean it. and it is a common problem it seams i have read many threads about this and know many people that had the problem. so let us know if it helps after cleaning it. and by that way that sucks havin so much emissions down there in cali!!! i have a straight pipe with no cat and a glass pack and it passed inspection!!!hahaaa. good luck with it though
