Smog Problem (Yes i did search)

well here is my problem....getting it to pass isnt but! The stock car had roughly 165000 miles on it... when i got the sr i also got the silvia face wth my tach and odometer.... the odometer reads 147000... some smog places are kinda ghetto here and just do a quick test and dont care whats in the car as long as it passes.... my only problem if you didnt realize is that when i pass and he prints out my sheet... its gonna say the car has 147000 miles on it... now is the DMV gonna drill me or whatever it is they do about odometer fraud or... am i just paranoid? Or am i gonna have to spend 80 bucks apose to 20 for my smog?

yeah, just tell them the odometer reading is off and it will go on the carfax report and everything. From then on they don't care what the mileage is cause the odometer 'doesn't work' or was 'rolled back by a previous owner'

if the car is 10 years or older it is exempt on mileage. What year is your car? Even if it is newer than 10 years, as long as you are not selling it to someone they shouldnt care.
