i live in hawaii...and i have and have a sr20det in my car...i would like to know if anyone can get me a smog location to let me pass (under the table) i will be moving to central califonia...pm thanks

Do you know what the test requirements are for bringing a car into the state? I think that they are more stringent than a normal smog test. What year is your car? If it's ODB-I (pre-95), then you can probably get it passed. If it's ODB-II and the smog computer needs to pull codes out of the ECU, then you're going to have some problems.

what if i buy another 240 in cali and put in an sr20...would there be ways to get away with it as long as i dont get pulled over???

just smog the stock 240 and then put the sr in there

but the thing is im gonna move up there for school so im going to have to stay there for more than 2 years...and what im doing now is just tryin to consider my options..another idea i had was getting an 240 in cali and then waiting until my stock motor goes??

btw where can i find shops in cali that does sr swaps??? i was either going to go cental valley (modesto) or the so cal area (walnut)??? thanks for your imput
