Going to go look at a 83 720 nissan, need to know whats missing for smog...

Anything to look for as far as smog issues? I know the common signs just want to make sure I don't get something that going to cost an arm and leg to get on the street here in CA.

I have looked up the cost for parts $150-250 depending anyone recently gone from no smog to smog?

In NoVa they smog but not in the south so I don't get smog'd, I have a manual and may be able to scan a few pages but I am not really clear what you are looking for?

Well I have to smog, not worried about making the truck run clean, I'm worried about the visual inspection.

Truck currently doesn't have the smog equipment and I have no clue what it needs?

I wouldn't mind a copy of the schematics before I go and look at the truck tomorrow but I do plan to pick it up if it runs and is clean.
