Ok i have a straight forward question about how well a SMIC set up holds boost. If you have any experience regarding this please feel free to contribute. I am currently running a T25/28 hybrid ball bearing turbo with a s15 spec r SMIC. My hotpipe is a 2 1/4" piece and the coldside is a stock plastic piece. My problem is, I cant hold more than 10psi @ the top of any gear. Given there are no boost leaks, is it simply due to the SMIC set up not capable of holding more than that? For reference, im spiking 12psi when i first hit it in say 3rd gear, and by the time i get to 6k+ im around 9ish and then 8ish by redline...WHat gives, i know this turbo can hold 10+ psi up top.

Definitely a small boost leak or if you're still using the stock bypass valve, that's probably leaking.

boost leak checked today found a small leak and fixed it...still falls from 10ish to 8ish. I think i may take off the IC itself and pressure check it. Im using a greddy type rs bov so its not the bypass valve. Thanks though.
