You have a different problem.
There is no oil source by the intercooler. It's purely an airbox. No mechanicl parts or need for oil. The oil that is dripping is coming from somewhere else.
Have you gotten under there and looked at it? Usually a side mount IC is the lowest point on the piping from the turbo. Is the oil running down from the turbo area and then dripping off the IC. If you see no oil running down the outside of the pipe... then you have oil on the inside as well as a leaky IC... two problems.
I'd put my money on the oil hitting the piping and gravity pulling it to the IC then dripping to the ground from there.
You could have bad seals in your turbo, bad connections from your oil lines to the turbo, or perhaps a badly leaking head gasket or valve cover that is actually spraying some oil.
You really need to trace the source of the oil... it's not the SMIC.
