Sup, I'm just trying to get a bead on different intercooler options. Like maybe an rb20 smic or something similar. I don't actually know the dimensions of the stock ca18det smic and I think it might be cheaper to finagle another Nissan's intercooler in if it's possible and going to be worth effort (more cooling). Of course, the ARC is a nice piece but so far so expensive...but then again I'm broke, so...If anybody's got any ideas for junkyard scrounging (i.e. Saab or Volvo or maybe even a VW) I'm open to suggestions. And one more thing, any suggestions on a clean alternative to wheel well venting besides hacking up the factory piece...like plastic welding in some vents from another type of car... As always thanks for any and all advice...Laters and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Well, yes the ARC M070 is really the best option, and I myself have one (from my website: http://engl-labs.tamu.edu/clas...V.htm)

Here is one on eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com/New-ARC-St...wItem

I got mine for $250 + shipping, so that may still be out of your price range. I originally wanted to use a JZA80 (MKIV Supra TT) SMIC as it is HUGE, but a custom cold pipe would have to be fabbed, negating the $100 entry price for the cooler. The RB20 uses the same core as the CA, just different end tanks, so that is a worthless upgrade. Also, look into a waterspray setup. All parts ran me about $12 for one, and I ran that for about 6 months on the stock SMIC without drama (at stock boost that is).

As far as the vent on the fender liner, you could use the ARC Titan (titanium) Wind Master. It is designed for that very purpose, and just rivets on.http://www.overboost.com/obs/p...amics

this is to biosehnsucht and spectre23. I have recently purchased an ARC smic, I assume that its for an SR cause it uses the pipes from a stock SR smic that I have. Now my question is will the CA cold pipe that I just bought work with this, or not?

Hey, I have one too

You will need the pipes that come right out from the SMIC that mate to the cold/hot pipes. You CAN use the SR pipes, but you will need to plug the BOV hole or get a SR stock fitting BOV.
