SMG thread for thoughts

So my uncle is sending me his manual g37. It has some damage on it but hey free car so I am probably going to end up taking it. Before this i was looking at the 7 speed auto and the manual and was heavily leaning on the 7 speed auto.

Now that I am getting the car I can spend the money on parts and doing something else. I was considering doing the swap to a 7speed auto but didn't think it was worth it. Then i came across some stuff on a sequential manual transmission. That really sparked my interest. I did the search but couldn't find anything definitive. any thoughts, anyone done it, any useful links?

I'll have to let the tech's wade in here but you'd have to get the transmission and ECU from a 370z I would suppose. If you are getting a 6mt why not simply keep it as it is?
