Use a product like Frigi-Fresh. That should take care of the mold on the AC's evaporator.

I have used BG products in the past. I stand behind thier products 100%. I have used that frigi-Fresh many times to solve that problem. After you run this through try to use your fresh air mode a little more often , that will reduce the chance of reoccurance. Leaving it in recirc all the time only promotes the mold growth.

Check it's not a leak too.

I had the misfortune of the A/C finally dying a few months ago, and it had a very unusual smell.

Turns out it was an "exchanger" or something, and it cost $$$ to fix. Re-gas of the a/c didn't help as it just leaked back out again.

Smells like your evaporator is moldy. You can purchase a special disinfectant that will temporarily remove the smell but to totally remove the smell you must replace the evaporator.
