I recently bought a low milage (15k) G37 2010. On start up of air conditioning I get a blast of musty skanky air. It quickly clears. The dealer seems to have lost all sense of smell. They have replaced the filtr (w chacoal) and sprayed stuff twice. After purfume goes away, skank returns. Definately coming from ac duct. Can ducting be removed and cleaned? Can't believe I bought this expensive car and must endure a 20-40 sec blast of fowl air. Thanks.

It's a known problem with the G. Check out some recent threads on this subject.

Best solution is to let the AC run outside air for 3-5 min prior to shutting down.

change your cabin filter, and make sure your drain port is not clogged. turn the AC on, and look under the car where it should be dripping from - make sure its a steady drip/flow rate (and not 1 drip every couple minutes)

Make sure you are also recirculating and not drawing air from the outside...

Hmm.. actually my car only gets that musty smell when I run the air on recirc. Same thing happened on my previous car also. Drawing air from outside for about a minute before I shut the car off always prevents the smell from returning upon the next startup. That's just me tho..
