Well since I've had my fairlady.. I was plagued by the extremely strong smell of silver upon warm up and driving around.

Now I'm being taunted with the smell of fuel no visible wet leaks that I can find. The fuel injector caps look dry, looked at night with bright light and during the day with a bright as well no wetness or anything have also kept the fuel hose clamps tight

Try replacing the o-ring for the fuel pump assembly. They tend to go bad and cause a fuel smell to get into the cabin out of nowhere.

Awesome thank you I'll check there. The smell is more prominent out side the car. Would the fpr be a possible cause??

Also is that gasket failing the possible cause of my fuel gauge appearing to be around a 2-4 gallons off on the reading, and contribute to about 100miles to a half tank??

No, the o-ring has nothing to do with the fuel level sender. The sender tends to get stuck or work intermittently on older Nissans. If you have the fuel assembly out, just take a quick look at it.

Have you logged mileage vs a full tank when filling up?

Oh ok. Yes I have, I also reset the trip meter after any amount of fuel goes in. I've noticed that it will go down at a normal rate ~70ish to the 1/4 notch then after a little driving around it pretty goes to the 1/2 mark after around 20-30 miles which is little odd to me

I have an issue with my mileage being off. Thanks for the tip. I will have to check the fuel level sender to see if that is my issue. It will be a learning experience!

I'll have to take care of mine later in the month but not my first go round with fuel pumps and sending units. But 35$for a gasket isn't exactly in the current budget. Especially since its not smelling like hemorrhaging fuel at the moment, but. I do have a question about a subject that's beaten to death.. Can TT phase 2 injectors be used with out a tune or would I be best to get factory size?

There are tons of clamps that need to be tightened periodically in the fuel lines. I posted a video on my blog about it here - http://300zx-z32.thatsmysite.com/how-to ... el-clamps/ I think one of the regulars on here was the author of the video. Thanks to him again!

There is one that is somewhat hidden that was leaking bad on mine.

I always tighten the under hood ones, can't really get to the others, but I replaced the fuel cap and that helped alot but when it's super cold like below 25f it gets worse but goes away after warm up
