Smells like gas fumes

I have 96 Nissan 240sx. I can smell the gas fumes when I drive or park it in the garage.

What cause the problem? The fuel inject or fuel filter?

I didn't see any leakage on the ground.Thanks.

96's don't have to many problems with injector leaks,but look around the injectors for fuel dampness or stains. Sometimes if you use a aftermarket fuel filter with a plastic top instead of metal the filter can leak around the crimp at the top of the filter. Also loose hose clamps and aftermarket fuel caps will cause fuel odors. The fuel caps are a sealed cap and locking fuel caps or vented caps will leak. But leaks such as loose caps or tank vent problems should turn on the eng.check light.
