- one 1995 s14- minus stock ka24de- plus s13 blacktop sr20det- plus all the other goodies [intake, exhaust, cams, pulleys, fmic, etc. etc.]- is this a smart move on my behalf? (yes, i've done searches but apparently i just suck at them) thanks.

Is this something you want to buy, or do you already have it? More info needed.

Looks like a good setup. At least to start. Don't forget about fuel pump, BOV, downpipe, etc. And if you're doing cams, then maybe bigger injectors?

also, would it be smarter or make any real difference if i got a red top SR20DET? i know it's the older model, but would it be just about the same as getting the black top, just cheaper? any help recieved is truly appreciated.

If you are gonna take the head off and do cams, you might as well go with a metal headgasket, valve springs, and rocker arm stopper.

S13 redtop is just as good, when you get the blacktop S13 your just paying for a newer engine.
