Smart keyfob and FCCID

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

I am in Canada with a 2008 model, looking for a replacement keyfob.
If I go to dealer, they might ask for $200, 3rd party cost around $100 while I saw some on Ebay for $50 or less. Problem is most of them on Ebay don't ship to Canada, and they don't take questions. While there is one can ship to Canada, the FCCID is different than the one I have.

Mine: KR55WK49622
Ebay: CWTWBU619

So for those who have 2008 Canada model, what's your FCCID? Or is anyone know the CWT one will work on 08' Canada EX?

Not sure what the difference is but my FCCID is equivalent to yours. I'm guessing at some point it probably isn't compatible, just a guess. Usually stuff like that on ebay is not trust worthy, unless they offer a refund it wouldn't hurt to try.

Thanks for reply.
Yes, I asked the seller about FCCID and IC# but he had no idea.
To be safe, might have wait until a equivalent one shows and can be shipped to Canada.

One is made by Continental (https://fjallfoss.fcc.gov/oetcf/eas/rep ... R55WK49622')

and the other by Alps (https://fjallfoss.fcc.gov/oetcf/eas/rep ... 'CWTWBU619')

Both operate on the same frequency (315 MHz), it is unclear if there is equipment integrated into the car somewhere that is specific to the remote...

Thanks for the info.
Figured I will order the 622 one and let them ship to a Kinek(like a virtual US address) warehouse near border, along with a cargo organizer and other stuffs we Canadians can't get from US sites, then have a day trip there... sigh...
