In an article from Automotive News the Versa will be getting better mileage with upgraded CVT's and an oil warmer for the CVT's for cold weather climates.

Is there a way to read it without registering? Can you copy and paste the text on the thread? Thanks!

Not really on topic for the thread, but the rumor mill in Japan pretty much has a consensus that the all-new (FMC) Tiida will be released in Fall (calendar year) 2010, the likely date being immediately prior to that year's Tokyo Motor Show. One of the engines to be offered in the new JDM Tiida apparently is a turbocharged 1.6L, which is highly unlikely to be transplanted to the NA Versa.

Consumers Guide says not much is changing.

I haven't seen the any report to say otherwise. I'd guess it will come back as in 2009 with maybe some new exterior paint choices.

I believe the Versa is in for a remodel in 2011 and released as a 2012 model in fall 2011.

That makes sense. If the new JDM Tiida is to be released just prior to the Tokyo Motor Show in 2010, that would be October 2010. The Versa will likely have to wait until calendar year 2011 to roll out, and given the timing of the Tiida's release in Japan, Fall 2011 sounds very plausible for the NA Versa to show up here as a 2012 model.

In the article Nissan is going to add high capacity lead acid battery, air dams, an oil warmer for the cvt. The warmer helps the transmissions ramp up to optimal performance faster in cold weather.

If only they'd change the cup holders and put extensions on the visors, this would be the perfect car.

Be good to have auxiliary power ports under, on or closer to the dash too. It's annoying to use a portable nav or radar detector and have to have a cord stretch back past the shifter.

I would have to agree with this one, also it would be nice to have maybe two more in the back seats for passengers with laptops or portable dvd players.

All CVT equipped Versas from December production on will have the new tweaked CVT for better economy. We haven't received any yet.Not sure about the transmission warmer tho'. Would've been nice this past winter. Definite difference when it's ice cold.

I just saw an article in Motor Trend that says all 2010 SL Hatches will come with the fog lights and side skirts. And all 2010 Versas are supposed to get new grilles and bumpers, according to the article.

Along with all of the things mentioned above, I wouldn't mind maybe seeing some type of air vents for the backseat.

Autolock doors

and DRL's

Your doors should autolock at 15mph unless you have it turned off, especially with an SL and Conv. pkg.

Lucky you I forgot that feature came out with the 09's, on the 08's they don't auto lock.

Okay scratch that one off the list.

Instead I want...

Auto set air conditioning, you know what I mean auto temp adjustable
