What are some simple upgrades I could do for my suspension without basically putting in an entirely new one such as coil overs and complicated stuff. Are there any springs, shocks, or bars or whatever (yeah, noob here, just bought the car) that are good that don't lower the car yet provide a good ride that still handles when you need it? I don't want it any lower as it will be my DD so I don't want to risk bottoming out or scraping bumpers and stuff. What do you guys suggest? Lastly are things like coil overs and every strut or bar in the book worth it? I will consider saving up for a total overhaul if you guys think it is truly worth it. Oh and if you are wondering what I want to do with the car it will just be my simple DD but I would to still make it like a decent street car though. Thanks!

Ok too start you out theirs a company called energy suspension they make a polyurethane bushing kit to replace all the old worn out rubber bushings in your car it will definetly make a nice difference and tighten up on your handling. I would start their . Now depending on the condition of the struts its up too you if you would wana replace them . But I can tell you from experience Im on my fourth suspension first had the stocks blew them, than kyb gr2's blew them in less than a year, and than I had kyb AGX Adjustables with drop zone springs these lasted me a good while handled very nice but the springs were definetly a stiff ride for a daily driver I just recently purchased a decent set of coilovers and I will have to say you get the best of both worlds a very nice ride along with extremly good handling and you can raise them up too stock height if thats what you prefer but before wasting money on struts and springs i would definetly go with coilovers if I couldv'e done mine from the start again with out wasting my money. And strut bars and all that jazz do help with body flex and handling but if it s just your daily driver on stock suspension you may not notice anything with out the upgraded stiffness, stock swaybars are fine for what you will be doing unless you plan on taking it to track events on the regular idk how serious you are bout handling, but I hope this helped you man.

you want something simple? run your car with kyb agx and eibach sportline springs. it has a nice drop, but watch out on those protruted bumps and manhole cover because it will hit your transmission.

I'm going to be changing out my daughters 240's next Friday. I found a new set of KYB gr2's(just fronts) for $75 on craigslist and I'm starting with the fronts.I'm in the same situation. It will just be her daily. It bounces all over creation as of now. Just hoping to get back to safe on front and rear . I'm thinking of coilovers for my 240 in time as it has the same bouncing problems. She doesn't drift or anything so hoping to get her through college(2 years) with this set I bought. Also staying with stock springs for now. If i were sure she'd still want the car in five years I'd have bought adjustables or saved for coilovers.

If that's the case then I'll consider the coil overs. What kind do you recommend. Also I'm not going out racing and drifting but I do want the best for my car. Lastly I'll certainly consider the energy bushings as they look pretty sweet.

you will not get a good answer to this question. Everyone will give you different opinions. Your best bet is to research. look around the net for customer reviews on different coilover setups and get ready to spend a lot of money.

I'm putting coilovers on my v8 240, but my dd 240 has H&R springs (1.3" drop) and stock struts. It rides very nice, soft, but not too soft and has responsive handling and just a little more body roll as my friends vette.
