Small Rust spots Found on 2010 M35x

Hey --

I was washing my car and found some small spots. One is on the drivers side rear door sill on the bottom

The other in on the back left wheel well on the outside.

Both seem minor but would like to take care of them. Whats the best way to do that?

Also I have another 2 months of the 7 year Infiniti Corrosion warranty. Will they cover these?

Seems if they cover corrosion, that would be my first stop. Worst thing is they say no and you choose a hi quality body shop.

I didn't know there was a 7yr corrosion warranty! My 2011 has one spot on the fender (tiny) and maybe another...man if I can get that fixed totally free that would be EPIC. Gonna have to check it.

I assume it's from the date of manufacturing? Not when it first hit the road?

EDIT: Actually the warranty is void if the rust is due to a rock chip, etc. which I think mine might be from...crap.

I read the warranty the same way as all other warranties which start from first purchase not from date of manufacture. I'm assuming that tho with corrosion.

84 month unlimited miles for corrosion

We will see I'm going to try to have it looked at next week and if I have any luck I'll let you know.

Yeah rock chips most likely won't get covered. The door sill one on my car no way was a rock chip as it wouldn't be possible since it's always covered but the rear wheel well one might be rock chip.

So I dont really have an answer for you because I got rear ended (lightly) and getting bumper replaced. Infiniti body shop who infiniti recommended they will fix all spots and repaint for free. Not considered warranty work because the ladies insurance is paying for repairs so they are just throwing it in
