recently (last week) I installed a set of tomei procams and valve springs as well as a modified vtc system on the car and went from 400rwhp at 20psi to 440rwhp on 16psi with a killer torque curve.

Another update on my setup!
Was having fuel delivery issues so I went back in the tank and redux'ed the intake for the pump, went from an id of .25" to .48" so almost double the size and also added a JMS powervolt to boost the pump voltage with boosting trigger controlled via the infinity when required to keep voltages down when not required.
Image

After seeing instability with the triggers on my car as well as several other cars I'd tuned recently decided to upgrade the dampener to the current modern ross ballancer for the rb20 (as all my accessories are 20 units).
Ricky at raw brokerage was able to get the ballancer to me at a great deal and we were able to work out a package with the trigger wheel as well, as always a stand up guy!
Also utilized the bolt on trigger wheel they offer which is a 12 tooth even spread wheel.
Image

For timing sync as the wheel is only a 12 tooth wheel I painted up the first tooth after tdc's tooth red to indicate where 30* occurs, as you can see the edge of the trigger is at 29 degrees so I have to set the sync to that when shooting timing.
Image

Crank triggering is being handled but a super high quality honeywell zero speed hall effect sensor, very robust as it is for industrial applications and has a nice stainless body with sealed wiring.
Mount was fabricated out of aluminum plate we had laying around the shop and turned down and tapped out a bung for the sensor to sit in, it is important the bracket for the hall sensor to be nonferrous as a ferrous bracket will cause issues with signal detection (trigger wheels are always ferrous metals).
Bracket does mount to the ac compressor holes on the block so for those running ac this setup will not work for you.

Last but not least the 7670 EFR was swapped out for the larger 8374 EFR, manifold was built with enough clearance to allow for upgrades down the line...but in reality this turbo should have been on the car from the get go.
Spool time only increased 200 rpm but the power output is obscene, torque delivery coupled with the vtc makes this car a handful on the street.

Power on that graph is at 20-21psi but at 24-25 this setup should be capable of 600rwhp on our dyno...not bad for a blend of 80s technology and modern wizardry.

Nice Carl, i did the same thing with the trigger wheel. My sensor is mounted at the oil pan rail as i still have AC i was getting bad fluctuations myself.. definatly cleaned up the rpm signal uptop.. Im using the stock CAS with AEM disc for home signal.

I made mine out of steel... got me worried now.. but seems ok so far

what cams did you go with?

Cams are rb25 neo procams with vtc active hence the absurdly wide torque curve.
nothing crazy 260*/9.5mm intake and exhaust.
aem trigger wheel is still in the cas for the home position.

Looks great Carl. I guess this doesn't help the traction issues
