Hello My names Dustin and I just bought my 240sx yesterday. It is very nice but there is some small problems. The first one is that when you put the key in the ignition and turn it the radio and stuff goes on, but it wont start. The guy I bought it from said you had to jiggle the key when its in the start position. He can start it every time. You have to apply some pressure when you push the key in and also when you rotate it. Then you move the key to the front of the car then back. I was wondering if its just the key is worn or is it the tumbler. If its the key I just go to any Nissan dealership and give them the vin right? Also for the tumber wont it change the key I use to start it. Also when I start or shut the car off I can hear the radio anntene(SP) motor running but the anntene wont go up or down. Does anyone know any fix for this. Thanks alot

Hey Dustin, welcome aboard!!!

The ignition thing is pretty common on 240's - Mine does the same thing. Replacnig the entire ignition assembly is probably the best bet... It'll cost a little more, but it'll also work like new. Hit up some of our OEM parts vendors for a NICO member discount.

Antenna is an easy fix as well - Poer antenna assembly is about $30 on ebay, and there's an article on 240sxTech.com that details swapping it out.

Welcome home!

p.s. Moderator Dan (240sx2nr95) has the twin to your car!

NVM Problem Fixed!! I was taking the whole thing apart so when the new part came in I could fix it faster so when I took out the plastic end of the ignition lock I saw one of the screws holding into the metal piece was loose. I tightend it up and it STARTS everytime!! Im soo happy I get my $130 back. Thanks Alot
