Small Problems to fix

I have a few small problems that I want to get fixed on my 93 J-30. One the rear defroster doesn't work anymore. The plug in the back window does get power. The button lights up on the dash but nothing happens. What could it be? Also I looked under the hood and whatever the hose that carries that window fluid to the driver side is disconnected from the bottom port from the top of the hood. It seems somthing green with a spring is broken and now the hose can't connect. What exactly do I need to buy to fix this?

You have a break in the defroster wire somewhere. Most autopart stores sell a generic fix kit. You will have to go visually along your back window tracing the wire to find the break.

is it easy to tell a break in the wire on the back window? I will check tommorow.

Yes, but be patient and look carefully. Sometimes the break looks more like fraying.
