Overall I am happy with my Rogue but am disappointed about some of the simple stuff.

On really cold days the hydraulic arm/support for the tailgate does not work properly.

I lift it three quarters of the way up and expect it to open the rest of the way by itself and lower my head and reach in to the trunk area to pick up stuff and when I step back the tailgate is right there on the really cold day to give you a whack on the back of head.

Pisses me off because you are used to the tail gate lifting all the way up by itself throughout the year and do not expect to run into it.

Problem is that in order to show it to the dealer I need to take there on a very cold day and hope that it does it

Many have commented about the lack of 'lifting power' from the gas struts that support the tailgate. Unfortunately this is part of the nature of using gas struts... they are not as effective in cold weather.

I am simply used to manually opening the tailgate fully if doesn't do it itself.

and when it really gets cold the tailgate won't close properly. I literally had to slam it 2-3 times on a cold day (-20) to get it to lock.
