so my car has been having a small problem for about a week now, and ive searched the interweb but cant find a problem like mines. so im posting here.

The Issue: it started with what seemed like the car having hiccups. i would start the car or at a red light, and i sat there waiting, the car would jump a little, and the rpms would jump a little as well. now it still does that and i dont know if that has anything to do with my main problem. after a complete stop when i apply pressure to the gas pedal and only when i apply a very small amount, the car dies sounds like the gas cuts off. im guessing its time for a new fuel pump and filter so ive ordered those in and im waiting to get them today or tomorrow, but thats all i got. if im in the front of traffic i normally gas hard but i just look like some idiot trying to be cool. but after the car dying in the middle of a popular intersection i rather not risk that again.

Fuel pump or fuel filter is good first guess. If not that the would check for vaccum leaks.

A buddy of mine had exact same problem and fixed it by swapping out the MAF sensor. If you know anyone has 240, swap the MAFs and see if it behaves the same.

This more along the lines of 240sx tech. But it sounds to me like you should give it some TLC.

Seafoam job, plugs, wires, cap rotor, PCV, fuel filter clean the IAC and Throttle body and check the hoses and clamps, then time it.

Fuel injector(s) perhaps? Seems to be a problem starting around 120,000 miles.
