My Uncle didn't change the oil in his car, ever. One day he was driving and it died. He had it towed to the shop and there the mechanic took a peek and showed my uncle that the oil had turned into a solid, which was blocking all the openings to the engine. Moral of the story- change your oil every 3,000 miles!
