I have read a lot of post about the swap and I have all of the information, but right now. 8-10k is not feasible. I want to do it right, I don't want to cut corners. So I'm thinking of doing it in stages. Over 2-3 years.
I have a 92 2+2. The body is in decent condition. I have pics. I will post up today. The engine is in good shape, I'll try to record the sound. Just got it out of the shop, had all of the seals replaced, basically a 120k service. The transmission is fine. The interior is shot! Lol.
But if I was too do the swap 2k worth of work every 6-8 months. How should I go about it. The first thing I want to do is put a 5 speed in. Put how should I go about it? It has been said that I can put the TT 5 speed in and drive it like that. Which would be the route I'd take.
Then maybe do the pan and brakes. Basically I want to know, what upgrades can be done before the final turbo stage and still maintain the ability to drive the vehicle.
Pics within the hour if I can get the uploaded. What is the best way?
