slow throttle response

Is it because of our stock heavy flywheel that it doesnt rev up as fast? I drove my girlfriends stock s13, and her car revs up faster

sounds like something is wrong. it's not a trait of the CA to rev slowly (quite the opposite actually)

I think quickest and easiest thing to check might be ignition timing. I come from the land of distributors so I'm still not 100% on the CA18DET ignition system. CAS moved on you maybe?
