Slow keyless response?

I bought a used oem keyless entry remote for my 00 QX4 off ebay and it works and all but it's really slow. By slow I mean it doesnt Lock or Unlock when you press it the first time. It takes a few tries and the horn seems very weak as if it's almost dying when it does go into Lock. Is there anything I can do or replace to make it respond faster? Or is my used remote the problem?

There was a brand new battery I received with it, which I put in right away. My car battery seems to be fine because everything electrical works. I have no problem starting etc. I'm just gonna assume the key fob is some what faulty?

It may just be normal. I recently replaced the battery in my key fob and still have to press it 1-3 times. I don't know about the horn problem though.

If you have to press it several times, it's getting tired and you'll need to replace it by and by.
