this is an alright forum,i like it. the only thing that would help was if there was easier navigation. like subtopics for exterior, interior and performance. maybe another topic for coupe only sales. since the population isnt that huge i think thats all thats necessary, later on when more peeps join wheel and suspension and specific performance like turbo or intake, maybe lighting mods. it all makes navigation easier. but so far my experience here has been a good one.

Good suggestions, and we're growing so fast our poor web guy can't keep up!

Keep in mind we're making some navigational changes, and we're always listening to your feedback, because this is YOUR forum.

i mean.. coupe specific. since the coupe is so different from the sedan and prior models everything else, is interesting but doesnt apply.

Not really. The Coupe and sedan are quite a bit more similar than you think...

But, we're on it - Stay tuned!

Yeah, be sure to check the other categories. I had a post about the Nismo exhaust on my coupe, and it got moved from the "Coupe" category to the "Altima Engine, Drivetrain & Tuning" one. (BTW.. I was getting more replies in the coupe category. Haven't gone one since it was moved.) It would be nice to be able to keep posts by coupe owners about coupe parts, etc. in the "Coupe" category, but I do understand trying to keep things clean and organized. All that to say, check out the other areas of the site. There's a lot more coupe info than is just in the "Coupe" category.

regarding interior mods, the coupe and sedan are almost identical... most of the things you would get for one. you could interchange with the other...

exterior wise, yes, you're right... especially since they only share the hood in common!

I will try to ensure that all the coupe specific parts stay in the coupe section, but for something like eibachs, or intake it will be put in the corresponding category as it fits multiple years.

I would definitely like A/C Coupe specific topics to stay with the A/C Coupe category. I was responding to nurseryboy's Nismo post when it was moved, I was a little confused but I figured it out.

Yep... I also stay in the Coupe area for stuff cuz I assume that it appliesto me more. So I was also confused when the nismo post got moved cuzI couldn't tell where it went and I was replying to it as well.

I say when someone makes a post in the coupe area, even if it applies tothe sedan...we leave it in the coupe area, cuz the author of the post probably put it there to begin with because he wanted coupe peeps repliesto it.

I second that !It gets confusing when threads are moved. For the most part, many of the topics could apply to other models, but they are posted here because we are Coupe fans and owners. And although the thread may apply to other models, they often have specific content related to the Coupe. Our Lotus Notes administrator is often moving things around, and it drives us all crazy !!!!

I say if it gets posted here, it should stay here unless it was clearly meant to be somewhere else.

Pretty soon, we'll have the "Recent Threads" active on AltimaCoupe.com - That's a nice feature.

Also, we're working on the "Active Topics" function, as right now it's not working as it should - But when it's fixed, it's the BEST way to surf the site!

You 3 are new members... what do some of the other guys have to say?

(mind you there was a shakeup this week because i moved a lot of threads, and they go to the top of the list in the new category, rather than where they should go by post/date order. )

See how good Greg - azhitman - NICO OWNER is?

What other forum's owner (and mods ahem ahem) attend to any issues as fast as he does.

NICO FTW!

I love that you're moving posts to the sub forums where they belong. It keeps the clutter down, and more importantly it keeps those other sub forums alive! People were only looking at the coupe forum and any posts in the other sub forums were being ignored for the most part.

Only real question I have about these forums is why they use the forum software they do I'm no expert on forum software or anything, but this one lacks key features that are available on almost all other forums (PMs for example). Also the moved threads being put on the top is also kind of annoying, but you guys are working on that already

I'll go for that !!!

If the Active Topics shows me all recent A/C events, then it doesn't really matter where the thread lives.

I like that.......

lol. i guess now i definately have to get the altima if youre gonna star re-arranging the site just for me. JK. it is great to see mods who listen, mods make the site better awhen that happens. i tried out nissanclub.com but it ws waay to overwhelmed with ads. i couldnt even navigate. this isnt so bad. if altimas are built alike or pretty close, then i guess maybe this might work

Forum of latest model sedan/coupe altimas together (since they are the most similar)....recent posts from the last 10 or 20 threads could go here. then...sub topics of ....performance...maybe further breakdown of turbo, nismo, suspension, intake/exhaust....interior....sedan exterior....coupe exterior

wheels and electronics including navigation and everything else can be in general altima forum.

passionate people get the job done and the altima is something to be passionate about.

Hi tarek -

This forum software has some features that make the entire experience better for the end-user, but many of them you can't see.

It's the safest software on the market, in use by the #1 and #2 largest automotive forums on the web.

PMs are available, but disabled, for several reasons... I'll pop back in and give a brief synopsis of why as soon as I get back from lunch.

Carry on, Gents!

i love this forum, but it has changed dramatically in the past couple of months. my understanding is that most of the a/c owners on here really aren't to car savvy and that's cool as we all learn more and more as we read up on things, but it seems lately most would rather talk about air freshener trees, floor mats, license plate frames, and all that kind of stuff. when i first joined the a/c forums the 1st page was loaded with great information like erics injen install write-up, blakes borla/eibach/whatever else prototype info, all kinds of how-to's and do/don'ts and now all the information that i would prefer to read about just isn't popping up like it used to. okay enough said. I'm coming across like a wine bag.still love nico and almost everything about it, just wish people would post the "blah" threads in the general forum.

@ LBC/Shift: It's definitely a little confusing with all the moving of threads, makes it a little harder to find things, but I think ultimately, as long as there is consistency, it should make the site easier to navigate.

One recurring thing with new members is that they frequently refer to things sited in the general sticky http://forums.altimas.org/zerothread/285258 (incidentally, LBC's not listed as a mod on the top of that thread yet...) Would it make sense to put this on the top of all the separate sub-forums? -this would be especially useful on the coupe forum as this seems to be where a lot of redundant posts originate.

My 2c Keep up the great work!

@ 08altima I know what you're saying... but we're also limited to what's available, seeing that pretty much all new accessories have been installed by nico members, it's going to be a little slow on the production front as stuff made specifically for the Altimas trickle out. We're still seeing some awesomely innovative stuff fabricated though (Grystrm Rjdmmfl1).
