Good afternoon everyone.
I recently purchased this 1990 300ZX TT and it has LOTS of problems so sorry if you see a lot of post from me but i am new to the Z and will need your experience to guide me through this rebuild. I have a slow leak (drip) that is coming from what i believe to be the Torque Converter but it is also missing bolts and i am unsure which ones i need to order. in the pictures below can you tell me if it is the torque converter housing or the transmission bell housing and what might be leaking from this area. it is an automatic transmission. thank you from your assistance and patience with me.

This leak is most likely the rear main seal. for parts catalog and info I would use the courtesy nissan interactive parts catalog, its modeled on the old school 90's paper print outs but its very complete and you should be able to find what you need there.

I have been using the Courtesy Nissan website to search for parts but I do not know weather the part shown in the pictures is the Torque Converter Housing or the Transmission Bel Housing. once i know that i can order the correct bolts. I have seen plenty of write ups on doing the Rear Main Seal.

Ummmm, that easy, if your car is a Manual then its the bellhousing, if its an Auto then you have a torque converter therefore its a torque converter housing. Do a quick search on manual vs auto transmissions on howstuffworks.com

Not a problem man, best advice I have ever heard or given when it comes to cars (especially ones like the Z32) is learn everything you can, do your reasearch and do not take anyones' word for it (unless its Greg(SZ), Seb(SZ), Kyle(IPP), Dane Miller(HtownZ), and a few other real pros) because chances are, your regular old mechanic that works on corollas all day will be in way over his head because these cars are very finneky like a gorgeous woman with an expensive purse habit and single digit IQ
