I just swapped in an sr20 into my car last Aug and have been driving around very minimally, maybe 3000 miles at most. I have a ORC single stage clutch and it's must stronger than the oem clutch. I have removed the dampener. So after 4 months of driving, in Nov, the clutch pedal started to feel really soft, eventually I could not get it into gear. I went and looked at the clutch master cylinder and the fluid level is full, didn't go down. I looked at the slave cylinder and there's no sign of leaking fluid anywhere. But, when I went to bleed the clutch line, there seems to be a good amount of air in the line.. after bleeding, the clutch is fine...

So does this mean i have a slow leak in the salve cylinder? Or could it be caused by the heavier clutch disc? any way to be absolutely sure before replacing?

You may want to replace the slave cylinder. Mine recently went out. I was not leaking fluid, but the clutch began to slip and the pedal feel went all to crap. I adjusted the pedal a couple of times over a weeks period, but quickly realized something was wrong. The seal inside the slave apparently gave out, but the rubber boot itself was keeping the fluid from leaking. At the very least check that out.

While you are at it, instead of buying another oem slave cylinder opt for a high performance slave cylinder.

If you still have the stock rubber clutch line installed, assuming you did not bend the hardline and connect it to the slave cylinder. You will want to replace it with a stainless steel clutch line. If not bend the hard line, slowly and without putting kinks in it, and connect it directly to the slave cylinder.

Thanks for the advice, I was thinking about going with a nismo slave cylinder if i had to replace it. Any others out there besides the nismo one?

I didn't replace the rubber hose line with a stainless steel one yet.
