I just bought a 1994 Q45t and lately i've noticed when I hit the gas I accelerate at an extremely slow pace and the shifting from first to 2nd gear hesitates. Does anyone have a clue what this is??? Could it be my transmission? Also when I shift into reverse from park I hear a pinging noise. Can anyone help?

Do some searches on the slow accel problem, you will find tons of info regarding various things to check, as far as the pinging sound could be your heat shields that cover the cats I do belive, mine are doing the same thing right now and will be removed soon.:) How many miles on it? and do you have a service history for the vehicle? good luck

The car has 167k on it but I don't have any service history for it. In reguards to the heat sheilds, are they easy to replace or costly to get fixed?

Uh...Lnettie21, may I suggest you correct your information and spell Infiniti correctly?

Dealer or Infininti Customer should be able to provide you with a dealer performed maintenance history when you give them the VIN. You can register yourself as the owner for any future recalls or bulletins.

Bring it on by T3 and we will give you a detailed examination and an in depth written to do list all for $70 [no tax] --- our rate for a prebuy inspection including Consult diagnostic check.

Tell the service writer you got a flyer on your windshield at Harry's/Whole Food or the Airport [nice cardbord expenxsive one] but forgot to bring it......it has a $19.95 oil change special for new customers. That $12 savings means the diagnostic only is really $58.

Merry Xmas.
