Alright so I have an 89 ka24e when I first got it The first cylinder was dead we tore it apart thinking it was the head gasket ended up being the intake valve Replaced it and had it re seated and magna fluxedit sealed up great also had the head remachined, I went ahead and replaced almost all the engine gaskets new timing kit**" new oil pump new water pump also deleted the egr, resistor in the temp sensor, ac delete, NGK plugs, solid motor mounts started it up it ran fine for about 25 miles parked it over night went to go drive the next day and the car slow as hell after 5 mins of driving on the highway I could barely reach 50 mph at no more than 4500rpm, changed the fuel filter no change, ordered an Isis 255 fuel pump replaced the stock pump after letting the car sit for a week I started with the new pump ran fine drove about ten miles parked it and the same thing is happening Again slow in all gears, new coolant temp sensor switched out ignition module, we checked the voltage going to the fuel pump it was fine no cel codes reset ecu no change.....I'm extremely fusrtated someone help???

Checked ground continuity today to chassis and engine both are roughly around 1.5 ohms

Damn man that sounds like a mess. Here are what the codes mean.

11 Crankshaft Position Sensor Circuit
14 Vehicle speed sensor circuit
21 Ignition signal missing in primary coil
41 Air Temperature Sensor Circuit

I'm guessing some of those might be false the tachometer works correctly also I have spark there is some sort of 12v constant relay mod that was on the car when I got it I seen the same mod on you tube called the hot wire mod, BTW compression is at 130 on all four I'm here in pueblo colorado

Can you clarify something? Did you do a full rebuild (bottom and top end) or just the top end? 130 seems low, did you do the compression on a cold or warm motor? Did you happen to add a little oil to each cylinder to see if your compression numbers were better?

Just upper end but used same lifters, didn't add Oilto the cylinders, the bottom end is probably a little worn out lol but it was like that before and ran great, i was told that compression can vary a little based on your altitude I don't tknow if that's true, something else I noticed is that the new spark plugs are pretty black and the old ones looked cleaner than these do except for the #1 cylinder that died before I started all this work, I just can't figure out why it ran good went to s*** after letting it sit over night than letting it sit another week putting in a new fuel pump than running good again shut it off and the same... now it just stays slow, I greatly appreciate your response jza80king

Could the speed sensor malfunctioning change the fuel map or timing in the ecu?

I doubt it, my speed sensor had been disabled due to a circuit break for years and i never had these issues. I would try looking into any check engine light codes cuz any of the ones I listed could cause your issues.

I will be checking over the trouble codes although I think a couple are from testing and unlpuging the sensors while running I'll reset the ecu also
