just got back from island raceway in jersey and ran slower with header and high flow cat compared to just intake and 2.5 in exhaust. Today i ran 16.2 @ 85 whereas with just i/e i ran 16.0 @ 86....

i kno theyre both crap times but is my motor starting to go or what?

anyone else can feel free to post up any of their na Ka times as well, just thought id share that with ya's .... im just pissed that i ran slower than a few months back

heh well, never ran mine, but that does sound a bit slow... But then again, what do i know. Keep in mind that depending on the condition of your engine and what fuel you use, adding headers and high flow cats, could actually hurt your accel., due to pressure changes in the engine.. Yeah I know sounds absurdly backwards but I have seen it happen many times..

Running strong with a high mileage motor is a very relative statement.

You ran 93 octane fuel... did you adjust base timing on the distributor to make use of that extra octane?

You're running a header now on an NA KA, its probably a long tube race header... and you probably lost low end TQ you used to have for launching better... the high flow cat probably only further reduced your TQ off the line by raking out even more back pressure.... I can see that being .02s.

Yeah, my KA w/ 183k pulls harder than my accord w/ 245k... but are either one of em gonna put in a good time? Probably not.

good call on the distributor timing, no i didnt adjust that, but ive been running 93 octane since i bought the car 2 years ago...i also wanna check/clean my MAFS bc my car is sputtering occasionally only at WOT between 1000-2700 rpms, then clears aound then till about 3800, then sputters again from around 4k to 5500, then its clear from 5500 to redline.its weird but it coyuld also be my fuel pump among many other things lol
