Any one have any idea why my power windows would be so slow? Seems like they really bog down about half way up. All four are doing it. It is a 2000 infiniti QX4

Same problem here. Get's really bad in cold weather. Any ideas on how to take off the inside door panels to lube up the gears?

My passanger side window is really slow, and is also worse in cold weather. As for the door panel there's a screw inside the door handle (there's a little thing sort of hiding it, but u can see it) and i think the rest of it should be clips...

I realzie this post is late but I checked with some friends of mine who own Pathfinders. Dirty trackwork, worn out motors and dust/dirt in the slide mechanisms are the usual culprits of slow power windows.

If you take the inner door trim off the door and peel back the plastic vapour barrier you will be able to see if dirt is the problem.

If the trackwork and moving parts all look clean it's a good bet that the motor is getting ready to pack it in. It may just need some brushes installed to make it like new. Start looking around the salvage yards for a spare unit would be my suggestion.

Thanks for the info Big-Bird & 99QX4As for the clips, once you take out the screw, can you just tug on the panel to pull it off? Or, do I need to borrow my buddy's MAC clip tool?

After the screw is out just give the door pannel a tug at the sides and they should pop off.

Cool, thanks! I'll give it a shot when I get a chance.
