I turned on my car and slip and vdc of lights were stuck on. I turned off the car and turned it back on and it was gone. This happened to me twice so far.

Anybody know what this means?

Check you brake fluid level and your brakes. They are probably toast.

Do a search for VDC and Slip and you'll see this problem has been discussed before.

I just checked my pads last weekend and they are good.

I just checked my brake fluid, it was between Max and Min.

Sometimes dealers read it for free or autozone. But you can do it yourself.

1, Confirm accelerator pedal is fully released.Turn ON ignition switch.Wait 3 second.

2, Make sure the next step done 5 times in 5 seconds. fully depress and release the acceleration pedal.

3, Wait 7 seconds. Fully depress your acceleration pedal and hold it for 10 seconds. Till MIL light will flash.

4, Release acceleration pedal and you are in diagnostic mode.

To see what's your code is here.

Today as I was driving to work the VDC and Slip lights came ON. Another thing I noticed is that when this happens the tachometer was also not working.

Have you tried to read the code if there is any?

I think that's where I would start and I think i would take it to the dealer.

Yeah I got the MIL to work, but I had limited time to try and decipher the code. You are suppose to count how many times it blinks slow or fast or what?

Took it to the dealer today and the code said there was some signal interrupt and that's what caused it to go off. It didn't said anything specific. He reconnected a few ground wires and reset the ecu and told me to see if it happens again.

I recently hardwired my passport radar detector, so I wonder if that has anything to do with it? I connected the power supply into the blower motor under the glove box, and the ground onto the car body.

Anyways.... I didn't do donuts, and my tires are the right sizes, my brakes and fluids are fine, and diagnostic doesn't show any sensors to be bad. This thing keeps happening all the time, more often. Today It happened 3-4 times. Last time it happened I was on the highway and my tachometer just went to 0 ... kinda freaked me out :P

It is all those 03-04's that still have bugs lol

I would go back to the dealer and replicate the problems!
