Under normal usage, sticky, max performance tires do not turn into hockey pucks after 8k miles. His tires are either just plain worn out, very old, or are not sticky to begin with. Add wet roads to the mix and most tires will slip very easily too.Q45tech wrote:Purely a function of tires, the tires have to slip BEFORE the system engages.
Using tires more than 6 months [8,000 miles] leaves them too hard from heat cycling.

That is the reason that I leave my VDC on all the time and only turn it off when I really want to!Grantbo wrote:Add wet roads to the mix and most tires will slip very easily too.
That is correct - When I hit the top of the RPM curve that is when the engine dies down....peter_rabbit wrote:Hey guys it sounds like it's more than just tires. Going by Afoots comment, it seems like he/she is getting the light at the top of the RPM's not at the lower. I've punched it and i get this problem at the low end, not when the car is about to shift to a higher gear.
