I changed my rear tires from 235/50-17 to 235/45-17 and when driving this morning on freeway my slip light came on and i lost accelration, can this be caused by my different tire size? please help

Either shut off your T/C or change your front tires to 225/45-17. The T/C compares the front wheel rpms to the back wheel rpms, and when the rear slip more than the allowable amount the T/C comes on. Since you've lowered the aspect ratio of your back tire, you've now confused the computer and it thinks the back tires are slipping, since they are now rotating faster than the stock tire size.

Thank you for the suggestion. I just went and put the stock size back on and the car seems to be back to normal....Thank U!
