I was hanging out with my crew after work Sunday morning and we all had one beer (I swear). and when I left I decided to do a little drifting for the non-believers. I turned off VDC and did about 4 donuts before I let up in a huge cloud of smoke. After I was done a slip light appeared on my display and my VDC wouldn't turn back on...I finally pulled over and shut the car off and when I restarted it all was well again. What happened? you think I hurt my car or was it just protecting itself?By the way, this was really fun and I will video next time.....:-)

Nice job with the donuts! I've actually done that several times, you didn't break anything, it's just a read error caused by your tires spinning madly when the car doesn't want them to. Car doesn't like it when the tires spin, and when you did a donut, it pretty much just freaked out and refused to refresh it (that's why restarting car fixed it). Doesn't hurt anything though (except your tires of course!). Just always test your alignment, check your tires, and let car sit turned off for a little after you do donuts.

and video would be awesome

Thanks.. good to hear.I just put Falken fk452's on my car and they drift great. once you get the car sideways they just keep sliding until you straighten the wheel.this is the most fun car i've ever owned.

When driving with VDC on that slip light can still flash.

Happens to me sometimes if the roads are real wet and the wheels lose traction.

My G is an Automatic. Glad to hear it is normal. Taught my son to slide the car in vacant K-mart parking lot last night did the same thing. I told him my Nico buddies said it was O.K.

he can't be any worse than I was at his age.... but no... He only drives his truck alone... In California He can't drive with his friends alone for another year. His truck is pretty fast though (Lifted Titan).....
