slip and tcs off lights staying on in my active...why?

The other day the slip and tcs off lights went on....I shut off the car and restarted and they were fine...now every time I start and put it in gear they light and stay on....should I be concerned?

Could be the relays are going bad...... under the battery

oh yeah,especially this time of year,with snow,as when lit up,the entire traction control system is inoperative.common for the relays to stick or fail-located near bottom of battery-order both from joe, about 20-25 bucks.hopefully,this will fix it,if not there are 2 modules that must be tested to diagnose problem-one is in trunk,the other i believe is under dash by steering wheel.

what does the slip light mean?

Slip light comes on that lets you know that the the TCS id doing something.. it will come on when you lose traction...

Relays are under the battery and probably $30 from Joe..... Like Qship said

The control unit is in the trunk... Replace the relays and then report back.....

in normal,correctly operating system,all indicators are dark during driving,if system detects a wheel is slipping{rain,ice,snow,etc} the slip indicator illuminates,indicating the trac system is engaged,pulsing the brake on slipping wheel and or cutting air flow by means of a secondary throttle plate to reduce engine output to stop the spinning wheel.

these relays under the battery will be obvious?

yes..... Very obvious as they are the only 2 relays under there (no relays for non TCS cars)
