Sligt "whine" noise 2012 Sentra.

Hello everyone,

I just purchased a 2012 Sentra a few months back. I have never owned a Nissan for that matter so I was wondering if this is a common issue. I just noticed a slight "whining" noise upon start up, acceleration, and reverse. I did a little research on this cvt transmission and I've seen all kinds of feedback however, I couldn't find anything on the sound in general. Is the sound common on a cvt trans? Before I take it in to the dealer and hand over $100 just to look at it, I want to find out from experienced owners.. The trans shifts fine and I have no problem with it, just the slight whining sound.. Feedback is greatly appreciated.. J
