Has anyone with the 3.7 L engine noted that when they start it idles slightly unevenly? My 05 g35x was very smooth right from the start. My g37x seems just a little uneven in the idle when it is cold. It has less than 3k miles. It is nothing major but I'm surprised by a bit of up down on the tach at first. Not sure if that is perfectly normal with these engines or if this is a potential issue.

Thanks
Bill

My car does it. I've never had a car do that at startup. I think it has something to do with the VVEL?

Thanks. I'm not sure why it does that. If it is common then I am fine with it so long as everything is A-OK. Thanks

This has become the most common question I get from new

My dealers' entire fleet of (~40) G37x sedans snarl when they are started cold. Personally I like it, the car sounds mean and aggressive. It sounds like it wants to get out and play.

If you even move the shifter (with no brake application) the rpms will drop. The computer is trying to warm the car up quickly. With the vvel and a few other tricks the car is able to hit operating temperature in under a minute in most cases. Which is noisy but kinda neat (imo).
