Slight Wiring Problem

Hey guys we got our little project CA all nicely installed and all of the engine bay plugs plugged in nicely and all that stuff. Our problem is the plug on the EFI harness just up from the ECU - this plug is labelled as EFI harness plug F1 in the FSM - it should plug into Main Harness Plug M53. Our problem is that both plug F1 and plug M53 are male plugs. Anyone have any advice? I will try to get some pictures up asap.

I used a female plug from another 240sx KA harness.

Did you guys have to repin the connector or did you just cut and splice wires by matching colors?
