Slight Whirring Noise

I searched but did not find this specific topic or an answer.

I noticed today that the car makes a slight whirring noise. This noise happens only when the AC is on and, to me, appears to happen when the RPMs spike up or down.

It is not a loud noise, but am wondering if it is anything to worry about...

I have the 2007 Versa S HB with a 4 speed automatic trans. and just bought it 2 weeks ago.

I know very little about cars, so this could just be a general car noise that I am not aware of.

You may hear noises like this (Associated with slight RPM changes) when the A/C compressor kicks on or off. This is perfectly normal.
